When society defines inspiration it is commonly associated with world leaders and people who changed the world for the better. This makes it seem impossible to believe that any everyday person can be an inspiration. Yet that one close friend or mentor seems to have a much larger impact on us than any of those famous characters. I believe that everyone has a Clarisse inside of them, but that society has made it so hard to imagine that we can make a difference. In my life, I have found a person who expresses their inner Clarisse and brightens my life.…

The Great Gatsby Love is a strange and undefinable emotion, the concepts and ideas about love are very broad, but one thing is not: It is powerful. Love makes people vulnerable, it may seem like a bullet that pierces through your perpetuity, but what is a person without vulnerability. People are born from that passion and that is why life is an endless conquest in pursuit of that same love. The feel of it is what makes a human a human. All rationality and sanity go out the window and one is left in their original state, almost like an animal of instinct.…

I became an adult on Monday, June 15, 2015 during my AP Writing class, standing in the sweltering heat, completing 50% of my term 4 grade. I swallowed my fear and an illusion of pride, looked out at the teenagers I had spent years of classes with and, in short, told them the truth. For those five to seven minutes I let my façade slip…
