The First Thanksgiving: The First Thanksgiving

I will start off the lesson by reading the book, “The first Thanksgiving.” I will then tell students they are going to write a few sentences about a tradition their family participates in, using at least 4 of our site words we have talked about this week. They need to have no less than 4 sentences on their paper and four site words. They will then draw a picture of their writing. I will then go over the site words together as a class. (every, after, about, each, because, before, going, tradition .)I will point to the words and we will say them aloud in class. There will be a picture next to the words as well to help students who struggle such as the Ell students. I will then show them my picture I drew for a tradition my family participates
