Narrative Essay On A Crazy Trip

Decent Essays
This crazy week began a few days back when I picked up my “cousin” Rakesh from the airport. I was forced to go on this so-called road trip with him to have some form of family bonding with this family camping trip with take every year. I wasn’t very fond of the idea of me traveling with him. The first night was so dreadful, he did not communicate with me as much as he should have. I figured he couldn’t comprehend English. So I figured I would speak to him in slow syllables. “Do you want to eat din-ner” I would ask him. But you can see that he was all types confused by the way his eyes would just stare at me and him not being able to utter a word for me to get a response. He had this type of look like that he was some sort …show more content…
The real reason why I wanted to sit down was because I had forgotten how to get back and need a second to remember. But I didn’t want him to know that I didn’t know how to get back and also, me telling him is useless. He hasn’t been much help throughout the trip except for his euphoric episodes with those flowers. I just kept thinking to myself how do you get back from the location. It was like mid-day and we had been walking all day so it was the appropriate time to get back. I just can’t seem to remember where we had come every tree and dirt road looks like the one next to it. I just can’t seem to process why he was so fascinated by the same flowers over and over again. I finally got up and decided to just walk with my gut feeling. So we began walking but I heard a weird noise coming from somewhere near us. All I saw was his face for the first time this trip was red, and filled with fear in his eyes. I asked him, “Why do you look like you are afraid, why you don’t want to grab it like that spi-der”. I laughed at the thought of his fear even though deep down I was afraid, too. I didn’t know what that loud noise was sounded like something you would here …show more content…
The voice gets louder while wait to decide our next course of action. So I just start to run wildly and not knowing where exactly I am running too. He on the other hand in his panic managed to stay calm and collected. When he ran he was able to go in the direction which didn’t seem right. But what happened next completely right. He was running oblivious to the fact of what was in his surroundings. All I saw then was him tripping over a tree root. He landed face flat onto mud and his face was covered entirely in mud that looked like shit. I laughed so much that I started to cry out of my eyes. I then started to take pictures and violated his life. He was so distracted by the embarrassment of looking like fool in front of his far superior cousin that he didn’t realize when the noise was getting louder. I just left him there to die, I just started to run and kept on running like Forest; not really knowing exactly where I was going. I turn my head and look back I realize that I had actually left my cousin out there. But what really scared me more was I had no clue what was following me and I was now all alone out here. I didn’t know where to go or even

The purpose of a mission trip is not to save everyone or solve hunger. Many people who take mission trip have this mentality, and I 'm not going to lie, my first mission trip this is what I expected.
