1. Some information about how she truly felt in the first monologue was left out, because she didn't want to cause the situation to escalate. In the first monologue she is respectful and tried to diffuse the situation, which allowed her to get off with a warning. While in the second monologue she expressed her anger with the officer and her thoughts about the speed limits on Lafayette. The information in the second monologue was based on her emotions and would have only made it worse for her circumstance.

4. In both monologues Jessica is speaking truthfully to the officer and her husband, because of her explanation for the speeding. In the first monologue she did not try to lie about not speeding, then she explains that she needs to pick
