For the first formative assessment, students will be participating in the KW portion only. The information gathered as a result of discussing what students already know about early European explorers and what they want to learn during the course of the unit will assist in assessing students’ prior knowledge regarding early European explorers, reasons for exploration, and the impact made on Native Americans and the world.
