The First Black African American U.S. President In 2008, American citizens gave their vote for 44th the president of U.S, and they made history to choose Barack Obama the first Black American president. Barack Obama had a chance to reelect again in 2012. Obama has a White mother and a Black African father. He was born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is a well-educated person; in 1983, he received his first political science degree, and he also graduated from law school. He was the first African American president of the Harvard Law review. He married Michelle on October 3, 1992. He became a father of his first daughter in 1998, and he had his second daughter in 2001.Before he became a president, he was a teacher, a lawyer, Illinois state senator and the third African American U.S. senator. On November 2008, Obama won 52.9 % of the overall vote and defeated John McCain the Republican presidential candidate. In 2009, he received the Noble Peace Prize. His election was one of the historical events for all Americans. When president Obama became the president, the country was facing serious finical crisis, and the country spent millions dollar for overseas wars. He challenges many problems before and during his time on the position. Most of his campaign were on a promise of “change”.
