The documentary Seven Up!, directed by Paul Almond, is inspired by a phrase that St. Thomas Aquinas says “Show me a boy at age seven and I’ll show you the man.” (). The director wanted to see how social circumstances impact a child’s personality, goals, and future. Is this famous quote true, can an adult be determined by what they were like as a child? To answer this I decided to remember my childhood and see what I was like. Children all have a need to be accepted by their family and their peers which is part of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Like most Children at the age of seven we were just starting to create our identity, but I was different. I had just moved states for my dad’s job to a place where I knew no one.
