The film Beyond Good and Evil: Children Media and Violent Times, presents an in depth view of the role in electronic media as it relates to violence and children. The film exhibits a concerted effort to inform individuals of how violence through electronic media adversely affects children. Specifically, how the media portrays accepted means of violence to resolve clashes between good against evil. The message is that violence in electronic media desensitizes children in a manner that would only increase violence and decrease other communication or problem solving skills. Furthermore, the news media and government contribute to desensitizing society leading society to demonize others. The film desires to bring public awareness and lay a solid foundation for reevaluating our practices concerning children and media violence. Children are unable to distinguish between reality and unreality, right from wrong especially when there is no one available to guide them in understanding the differences. Therefore, children draw confusion and or adapt to what they can easily comprehend and associate with. One must remember that we cannot always shield children form violence in the media but it is imperative that we seek to clarify or assist children in guiding them and educating them more about what is really occurring and how others are affected as
