By showing on the big screen that women are not as important as men, it reinforces this idea to everyone in the audience, young and old. This is how and why this idea of women not being as important as men formed and continues to stay around today, because of the constant reinforcement of it in the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This movie and others similar to it also happen to be the most popular with the younger crowd, which is even worse because this idea is being shown to them at a young age, so they learn to think that this is ok to do. Not only does this movie reinforce this stereotype to young eyes, but it also reinforces it to women, especially young women. When young women see this and see how Wonder Woman isn’t in the movie as often as the male characters, and that she doesn’t have as cool of a suit and as cool of weapons as their male counterparts, they will start to think in their mind that they are not as important as men. As a result of this thought in their minds, they will start to harm themselves, physically and mentally, by thinking poorly of themselves, or even potentially causing physical harm because they believe they can’t accomplish anything in the world because men will always beat them at whatever it may
