Public health is the field of hygiene regulation with prevention of disease as the key objective (P1). When an event such as an outbreak occurs and it affects the community’s response capability and is not only a public health issue but an emergency management issue as well (E1 29). “When any population faces an outbreak of infectious disease, the natural inclination is for the people to want answers” (P5). Society relies on public health and established agencies to provide the solutions (P5).

Many individuals who are infected may never express the symptoms or problems associated with the infection (H1). In contrast to other microbes, this virus can last in the human body for long period of time (H7). One of the most common symptoms is the inflammation of the lining of the stomach or gastritis or the formation of ulcers (H1). The tissue that is located on the surface of internal organs or the epithelial usually fall victim to H. pylori (H3). The bacterium is spread from person to person through the oral to oral route or fecal to oral route (H1). To exemplify, the fecal-oral route can be the contact to an infected person’s fecal matter (feces or vomit) and transmitted orally via water, food or hands (H1). “The main burden of the disease is in developing countries, which can be ascribed to overcrowding and poor hygiene” (H3).
