Measurement of the fetus length is indicated by crown-rump length (CRL) or the crown-heel length (CHL). Crown-rump length is measurement from the vertex of the skull to the rump, also called sitting height. Quite similarly, crown-heel length is measured from the vertex of the skull to the heel, hence being called standing height.
