Feminism have been around for a long period of time, while feminist in the past and present have accomplished a lot, there are still some anti-feminists who opposed everything that feminist have done or trying to do. Society have come a long way when it comes to feminism, many changes happened because of the hard work of people who are feminist who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in. After reading different articles on “ The Eagle Forum “ and “ The Feminist Majoring Foundation” website about women and their role in society past and presents, one can generalized that these websites hold different views and understanding on equal pay, rape, and abortion.

Somehow, society is making rape to be okay. Women who are raped do not get justice most times, and they are being treated in a disrespectful way where as the man who committed raped is not to be blamed. According to Feminist Newswire, “Conservative estimates suggest approximately 400,000 rape kits sit untested in crime labs nationwide. At $1,000 per kit analysis, some police departments resist addressing their cities backlogs, citing lack of funds.” (The feminist Majority Foundation). Women rape is not being taking seriously, which one reasons why many women everywhere are determine to change this ordeal. Although this issues is something many women are concern about, there are still some people till this pretending this is something not worthy paying to in society. According to the Eagle Forum “Any message feminists and liberal students don’t like is called a thought crime, and it’s met with noisy protests, smear campaigns, and attempts to silence the speaker.” (The Eagle Forum). The Eagle Forum considers feminist as group of people who playing being victims of injustice in society for many years, they see feminist as something that is a waste of time and unimportant and they will to hesitate to stop their movement from progressing. Anti-feminist like Phyllis Schlafly wants nothing more than men always having more rights and freedom that women, women should not stand up for their rights but rather always be under showdown of the men in their lives forever.
