The fellowship of the ring has so many interesting and important characters that it is simply too difficult to pick just a few.
Frodo Baggins: Frodo is the main protagonist in this story. He starts out as being a happy and perpetually hungry hobbit, living in Bad End with his Uncle Bilbo. An unfortunate inheritance changes his life forever. Frodo is very introverted, he lived a quiet fairly uneventful life at home. So during the quest he often prefers the company of himself, and his friend Sam. He is also a very caring person. He feels deep regret and sadness when casualties hit hard. Although he is only 4 feet tall he is very resilient and manages to escape death on numerous accounts.
