The Climax of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring occurs when Frodo decides to take the Ring to Mordor by himself. The closer he gets to Mordor the more the Ring’s power will increase, and he cannot risk his friend’s lives in such a way. The rest of the company left Frodo with a choice of where to go. He could either go to Minas Tirith, the home or Boromir, or go to where to where the evil was strongest in attempts to burn the Ring where it was created. Boromir came to Frodo and attempted to make him go to Minas Tirith. During the talk, the Ring’s power overcame Boromir causing him to speak of Frodo and his men ruling over all with the Ring.
