In this novel I was introduced to a magnitude of knowledge that held my curiosity throughout the novel. For example in the novel it discusses the functions of emotions in more detail. In this section it explores the concept of universally shared basic emotions, an idea that goes far back in history. Johnson and Olson made the words and phrasing a little difficult, but still helped the readers fully understand the information they were receiving. It also brought learning to the table with uncommon words that represented the psychological aspect of the novel. Thus, giving the readers a very enlightening and intellectual understanding of emotion. Feeling Brain gave me a new outlook on psychology that I was already learning in my psychology class everyday. It allowed me to see what how connected emotion and psychology are. Overall,this novel is a very complex, and well written novel that gives readers a strong grasp and outlook on the emotion.
