Edwin A. Bahler Sr. was a man who wanted to help his community in many different ways, and did! He figured out an upcoming problem in his community and aimed for greatness and went out to change what was happening. He was also a man of astounding innovation. I believe I have that same motive in my life. I would love to go out and find problems inside my community or even my country and fix them. Commitment is a difficult thing to have. It requires the drive and will to do something and keep on going

It would allow some separation from my ultracompetitive classmates at one of the top middle schools in California. Even though history was not my forte, I devised a regimen that I would follow. I studied everyday afterschool, spent hours upon hours on projects, and never turned in an assignment without checking it over 3 times.…

Scholarship, service, leadership, and character are the characteristics that lay the foundation for success and are the reason why I perform at such a high degree in everything that I do. Although I’ve always had high ambitions for myself, the scholarship aspect of the National Honor Society confirms the importance of education and also reaffirms that anything is possible and it made easier with academic achievement. However, any achievement, academic or not, is meaningless to me if I don’t give back one way or another to the people who made my success possible including teachers, school staff members, fellow classmates, parents, and friends. On top of this, I learned that the smallest of gestures can make a big difference in someone’s life…
