The Golden Line

The first quote I chose is from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. “‘You used,’he took a sharp breath ‘to call me Augustus.’” This quote was said by a character named Augustus Waters said toa girl that he fell in love with, named Hazel Grace. He says this to her because when they first fell in love, she called him Augustus, but now she calls him Gus, and he takes that as not being in love anymore. I picked this quote because it and the sentences around it show their relationship a little more in depth then the rest of the story. Quotes like this are very satisfying to read and think about.

The second quote I chose is from the book The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. “‘ I do, Augustus. I do.’” this quote is said by Hazel
