The Fate Of Romeo And Juliet

Decent Essays
A destiny of love doomed to never see light because of their family is something hard to live with, and they did live with it until Juliet's father killed them. Juliet's father, Lord Capulet killed Romeo and Juliet, when he changed his mind once from thinking she's too young to if you can woo her you can keep her, then again when he forced Juliet to say yes to marrying Paris when she was already married, and then he finally pushed Romeo and her to their deaths when he threatened to disown her, causing her to lose loyalty. If Lord Capulet truly loved his daughter so much, then why would he push her to her

“What is meant to be will always be.” This is a widely spread quote that explains the power of fate. Many people choose to believe that that’s what guides them in life and along their journey in love. In the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet and the story “Pyramus and Thisbe” destiny is not what lead them down their downward spiral. Personal choice impacted the characters in a greater manner than fate and destiny.…

"Romeo and Juliet are foolish children [that refuse] to obey constituted authority," (Kerschen 2). This is true, but it doesn't necessarily mean that this is the reason they died. The two of them disobeyed their parents because Montague and Capulet didn't care about what their children wanted or cared about. The fingers can be pointed right back at the parents. Love didn't exactly create this tragedy - the lack of it did.…

Most people believe that this love was beautiful because they would die for each other, but really, they made decisions that led up to the situation. When Juliet’s father told her that she would marry Paris, the more wise decision would have been to own up to her marriage with Romeo. There would have been some conflict here and there, but they would have been sorted out. In the end, the Capulet’s and Montague’s ended their feud, which would have also happened if Juliet had…

William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is a provoking love story filled with suffering and tragedy. The star-crossed lovers were only partly responsible for their fates with surrounding influences such as Friar Laurence, the Nurse and Tybalt also leading them to their tragic fates. Romeo and Juliet were not entirely responsible for their fates even though they did make their own decisions and knew the consequences. From the beginning of the story, Romeo showed snippets of his fate with him attending the Capulet party in Act 1, Scene 6. If Romeo had followed the rules and had not gone to the party, he would not have met Juliet, saving both of their lives.…

In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Juliet Capulet and Romeo Montague are greatly influenced by other characters. Many of their significant choices and actions are altered and changed due to the advice that they receive from the people around them. Throughout the play, many characters suggest ideas and opinions to Romeo and Juliet with good intentions, however, these suggestions ultimately cause significant problems. The decisions that Romeo makes throughout the play are influenced by Benvolio who believes that his advice is beneficial to Romeo. After Romeo visits Rosaline, he seeks help from Benvolio.…

In Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the use of literary elements develop the theme that decisions can have a large impact on others, Romeo’s characterization throughout the play, and the plot structure after Romeo’s banishment. First of all, despite how small some of their decisions may have seemed, dramatic irony is used to exemplify the theme that decisions can have a large impact on others. When Juliet decides to drink the vial she was given by the Friar so she will appear dead, Romeo does not know of this and plots to kill himself,”Here, here will I remain With worms that are thy chambermaids. O, here Will I set up my everlasting rest, And shake the yoke of inauspicious stars shake off the burden of cruel fate From this world-wearied…

The decision that I found to be particularly hasty was Romeo's decision to commit suicide. I believe that this decision was impulsive and fueled by Romeo's emotions. It lead to not only his death but his lover Juliet as well. If Romeo had been more thoughtful instead of letting his grief and desperate thoughts overwhelm him, he could of created a different ending for the play, one not as tragic. Before Romeo made such a decision, he had been waiting for Friar Lawrence in Mantua to send him news of the uplifting sorts when Balthazar had told him that Juliet had died.…

Even though Romeo was banished and Lord capulet was forcing Juliet to marry someone else, they refused to stand up for their relationship. Therefore, the young couple was forced into a harsh decision; to that take their lives. People think that fate had to make two arch enemies fall in love, but Lord Capulet and Lord Montague could have ended the feud and supported their kids. When you think about all the decisions that are made by kids today, you notice that parents have become a lot more open minded about this sort of topic. If the two families would have followed in this thinking their kids would still…

An Analysis of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet Friar Laurence can be blamed for Romeo’s and Juliet’s death because he makes the decision to get them married even though he knows that their parents would not approve that. First, Friar Laurence helps Romeo to make this marriage possible. Then, Friar Laurens was the one that that encouraged Romeo more and more to do this thing even though it is wrong. Friar Laurence is talking to Romeo and agreed with him but because his own reasons, “/ In one respect I’II thy assistant be, / For this alliance may to happy prove / To turn your household’s rancour to pure love” (2.3.94-96).…

In Conclusion, I think that Romeo is a young, inexperienced and impatient but loyal and brave boy. I think that his naivety plays a huge rule in this because love was taken as an extravagant feeling to have when it was not truly happy as the lovers can experience heartbreak and many other obstacles. It seems as if Romeo only more cautious and deliberate, his devastating ending could have been prevented (even though we have not finished the book yet). Amongst friends especially Mercutio, Romeo shows signs of his social and quick witted persona, even with his fond of verbal jousting that is mainly about sex. Lastly, Romeo is like every other male in the world who only unveils their true self to the people who they trust or who understand them.…

In the play Romeo and Juliet, there were many deaths that occured that changed the path of the story. For an example, the death of Romeo had a big impact on the story in a short amount of time. However, the most important and impactful deaths of the play, Romeo and Juliet, were definitely not caused by themselves. The person that I believe that is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet is Tybalt. The reason why is because Tybalt started the fight on the street, and his ignorance lead to many misbeliefs that changed the story.…

With every choice the characters made it only showed the outcome of what would so be their deaths, and this is a sign of fate and their fate is dying in the end of the story.
