“The mind maketh good or ill, wretch or happy, rich or poor.” These were the words of Edmund Spenser. This comes from the third book of “The Faerie Queene” written by Edmund Spenser. He was a very famous poet. In fact, he was one of the greatest poets of England. He wrote his book “The Faerie Queene” in Ireland.
He took over a 3,000 acre plantation in Ireland too. He had two wives and a daughter and son. His children’s names were unknown. There are many facts and information about Edmund Spenser. To begin, Edmund Spenser was born in 1552. Many websites and books show that little was known of Edmund Spenser, one of the things that were unknown of Edmund Spenser was the exact date of his birth. The place where he was born was London, England. He died on January 13, 1599 in London, England. Edmund Spenser grew up in a very poor family. His parents names were John and Elizabeth Spenser. He was married to Machabyas Chylde, but she sadly passed away. But shortly after he married Elizabeth Boyle.

Which might be one of the reasons why they were very poor. He was one of the six boys who attended Robert Nowell’s funeral. While he was at Cambridge hall, the college he attended, he worked as a sazer. He was related to the Spenser’s of Althorp. He is also related to Lady Diana Spenser, the Princess of Wales. One of Edmund Spenser’s memorable qualities would be his writing ability. He was also very intelligent. I feel that he was very dedicated to pieces of poetry as well. If you ever had to talk/be around Edmund Spenser, then you should act kind, generous, and respectful. You should be kind, generous, and respectful around Edmund Spenser because he was one of the greatest poets of England.
