I read it through, throwing away any previous thoughts about it, as if I were reading it for the first time, and saw that my thoughts about it had changed because I wasn’t being so critical and harsh about it. I was able to notice that the ideas behind the story were quite complex and although it is entirely fiction, a reader would feel as if there might be some truth behind it. There is no evidence that these creatures don’t exist (there’s no evidence that they do either, however) which left me thinking, even as I thought of the idea for it, “could this be real?”. As a reader, I want to feel as if, even though I know that the story is absolutely false, there is something that could be real about it and leaves me thinking about it. What I really liked about the story is that it gave me that feeling, the feeling that there might be some truth behind it, no matter how silly it sounds. This not only helps you discover what you think about it and what the potential audience would feel about it, but it allows you to improve your writing by talking about both the good and bad parts of it. I noticed in my short story, The Faceless which is about a humanoid species called the aforementioned, “the faceless” who almost look human but there is something not quite right about them, I was able to point out things that I, as a writer, liked about what I had done and things that I thought could be re-thought, and things that I, as a reader, liked and disliked about my story. I would be able to take this reflection of my story, and rewrite it, fixing all the mistakes without changing the good things, which would help me improve my writing in general and help me be more critical of my
