When I started to read the book titled "The Fabric of This World", I felt that need to reread the history in a different way. The point from rereading the history is to identify the reason behind the work phenomena and the ethics, tradition, and how they were thinking about the job in old days to study the development of the work phenomena. In my opinion, this may reflect the insight of the development of the work attitudes and aptitudes. If I can analyze these factors, I can understand more also the development of the non-work factors behind the human choices for the career and the philosophy behind it. As Hardy, L. (1990) state,” one must also take into consideration the social content of one’s work: am I, in my job, making a positive contribution to the human community; am I helping to meet legitimate human needs” (p. 95). This is like a philosophy frame for the evaluation of the client’s Psychoeducation level, the degree of his or her insight, and identifies the bias line for the therapist to start with. For me as a future therapist, there are some challenges I can struggle with like; the low socio-economic level of the client, the low education level of the client, and the different culture perspective for the client.
