The Eyjafjallajökull Volcano

When: The eruption took place March to May 2010. The eruptions in March were mostly lava eruptions which presented little threat. On April 14th a new phase of eruption occurred which became much more explosive; violent and massive eruptions spent large amounts of ash high up into the atmosphere (Muskett, 2014).
