The experience and point of view of education in individuals lives are not same. The school is where parents and students believes is a place would give students the opportunity to learn and teach them how to have an academic successful in their future. The high schools is the important base to let students know that they are capable to go to college/university. Every student that graduated high school have the ability to continue with their education but some students prefer not to because did not have someone that pushed them to pursue their goals. In urban schools the educators as well as administrators fails to a teacher identify the students’ struggles such as misconceptions of how to succeed academically in school. Duncan-Andrade article emphasizes the importance of helping students to develop critical hope instead of false hope that is based on radical and false premises. The critical hope is a type of hope that involves individuals seeking positive outcomes by willing to confront difficult attempting to reach their goals. It is necessary to take risk in our career life because would help us to growth for the best of our future. Dr. Diaz inspired others to change the mentality of education, such as, need to change the priorities in our life. In life there is a short cuts to have a successful education, it involves hard work and sacrifices. It might be people that do not believe on you but taking action of what you really want in your career life can show them that with discipline can be possible to have an education. Students are responsible as well as teacher to have a good education inside of schools. The teachers who came from middle class white families, are completely disconnected from their students’ culture. The connection between teachers and students is a complement to create confidence in students to do what they love and get pay for it.
