Weekly Response 2 In contemporary society, globalization becomes a worldwide system. Globalization is the international integration as exchange of products and idea. To illustrate, globalization refers to changes in the world where we are moving away from our own countrues and toward a more unified world, and it involves integration of national economy with the world economy through trade, migration, capital flows, foreign investment and the exchange of technology. Insurance industry is deeply affected by globalization. Instantly, AXA and ALICO are becoming nationalized, and they have their branches in both Asia and Europe. Like the other well-known insurance company, Aflac becoming nationalized and have their branches in Japan. Furthermore, the Aflac Japan operate the business successfully and become one of the most famous insurance company in Japan. Since insurance industry become globalize, national insurance companies tied with global issues; such as, global financial crisis, global health pandemics and world trade agreement. Basically, the goals help reduce inequality, sustainable community and environment. Aflac can achieve the goal of sustainable environment by encourage employees to recycle, increasing energy saving and environmentally friendly facility management. For instant, Aflac is the first insurance company in US to be ISO 50001 Energy Management System registered which is the current best-practice thinking in energy management and uses an ORCA food digester that converts food waste from the cafeteria into graywater, that can be disposed of through the city sewage system. The above examples shows that Aflac engaging in protecting the environment by using better energy facility
