STEROIDS
Baseball is the most amazing sport in the world, in my opinion at least. I’ve played the sport for as long as I can remember and I have always admired what the pros are capable of doing. When I was little I remember watching TV with my friend Garrett and seeing players like Alex Rodriguez hit home run after home run. Garrett’s dad used to say that Alex Rodriguez was cheating, but I didn’t exactly know what he meant when he said that. He used to tell us that Alex Rodriguez used steroids, but at the time I wasn’t really sure what steroids were. I later found out that steroids are a kind of performance enhancing drug that are used to make people stronger and faster. I finally understood why Garrett’s dad used to say Alex Rodriguez was a cheater. Nida told me about some of his friends, I got curious and I asked him if any of his friends that took steroids regret it. Sadly Nida told me that he hasn’t talked too many of his old college classmates in a long time and has no idea if they do or not, he would hope that they are ashamed of themselves, but he has no way of really knowing for sure. Even though Lee Bailey told me that nobody has ever died directly from steroids, I wanted to get a non-doctors point of few on things, so I asked Nida if he thought people could die from steroids. He responded in saying that most likely not, the only way he can see someone dying from steroids is that they might have heart failure.
Steroids are a type of drug that nobody should ever use unless a doctor tells you to. The reason I say this is because there are just so many side effects that can happen and it is just not worth the gain in which you get. It may help you get stronger, but it is also a way of cheating in my opinion. People should just do it the old fashion way, which is workout right and eat
