For example, the way they express themselves is quite contrasting. Kimberly does not show her dark side outright, she sugarcoats it with propaganda of empowerment. For example, after posting naked selfies in social media, she mentioned that she felt empowered by her body, her sexuality, her feeling comfortable in her own skin and much more. Once she receives negative comments, she acts as if she were a victim. She argues that she is trying to help other people achieve the same self-confidence but is body shamed because people can’t let go of the past. However, there is a big difference on empowerment and vanity. Standing in front of a mirror and liking what you see is empowerment, but taking a picture just to show it off is pure self-absorption. Kim defends herself by saying that she wants to encourage girls and women all over the world to feel empowered, yet naked pictures do not equal empowerment it is just objectifying. It is true that people gain self-esteem from feeling empowered, however the self-esteem earned from a naked picture like Kim’s is nothing compared to the feelings they obtain from loving themselves for everything else that is not necessarily shown on film. On the contrary, the Evil Queen does not try to hide her malicious side. She goes straight for the kill, quite literally. This arrogant woman only thinks about herself and does not care about anything or anyone else unless they are surpassing her beauty, then she would do whatever is in her power to get rid of the threat.
