The Importance Of Everyday Life In Ancient Egypt

In this essay I will be informing you of some of the everyday life in Ancient Egypt, for they lived very differently then we do today. They have different beliefs and ways of looking at life, not to mention the religion was a whole different story. The Ancient Egyptians were Polytheistic meaning they believed in many gods. In my Research I have found that the Ancient Egyptians were not only a very sophisticated civilization but, very well versed in the act of war and fighting, had very religious and routine burial rituals called mummification, and also lived on some of the most fertile land just off of the nile river. By the end of this essay I hope that you may have a better knowledge of just some of the things that differ from you life to the life of the Ancient Egyptians.

Mummification is a process that is made to preserve the body. At first the bodies would just be placed in sand pits and after time they would be mummified naturally from the dry heat and sand. but then when they started burying the bodies more elaborately, in rock cut tombs they realized that the bodies were decomposing and the organs were rotting meaning that they were going to have to artificially mummify the corpses so that they could be dehydrated and could successfully pass on into they after life.
