You have chosen an interesting topic and to be honest, I never thought of it as an ethical issue, but you did make a pretty good point. When it comes to writing, the only time I thought of ethics is when we had Soldier’s writing intelligence reports on information that they did not collect, also known as “ghostwriting”. Also, as collectors, we write reports for the analysis as they are the biggest consumer pool, but our writing style and format is directed by the Defense Intelligence Agency, so I would say that we are pretty consistent in the type of writing that we do.
