The Ethics Of Human Cloning By The American Medical Association

Human Cloning Should human cloning be looked upon or frowned upon? Well I believe that you must really look into the effects it would have on not just the cloned individual but also those who surround the individual. In an article titled “The Ethics of Cloning” written by the American Medical Association they speak of these cons and expose them to their full potential. Some of these issues include psychological issues, effects that cloning would have on family members and society as a whole and finally about how society would view these cloned individuals. I would to quickly summarize what the American Medical Association says about these three issues that arise from cloning. In this article the author goes on to tell us on the psychological effects the cloned individual would have as a result of being cloned. The reason I say the effect it would have on family members is because there is an idea out in the world that would constitute cloning individuals who have passed away so that the loss was never really a loss. However the AMA go on to explain to us that as much as this idea seams nice it is not accurate, simply because the resulting clone would be the same person as the one who has passed away. He/she would be an exact mirror of the person however it all ties right back down to the environment that development takes place in. Now the effects that cloning would have on society have potential to be way more detrimental.
