Chrissy’s first well known incident would seem more like a propaganda but this incident also has to do with ethics. In 2012, Chrissy shared her political fond of the Free National Movement before and after the general election. This occurred Chrissy had her talk show on Zns called “Immediate Response.” Soon after the election, I am sure Chrissy was worried and was trying to prepare herself of what was going to happen to her employment status because the Free National Movement had lost the election. Soon after her contract was terminated because they believed that she did not carry herself in a professional manner, where it should not be bashing of one party because in this sense she would be persuading others on what party they should vote for on election day because of her freedom of speech. Talk show host Christina Thompson found another radio station talk show soon after her termination with ZNS. She went to work with the Guardian radio and was the host of “Reality Check” talk show. Ms. Thompson had a guest star by the name of Mr. Ferguson that supposedly the Guardian’s managers did not want his appearance on the show due to particular reasons. Since Ms. Thompson was such an outspoken person she took it upon herself to boldly have Mr. Ferguson on the show whiles being aired in Washington D.C. She also threatened on air to “pull files” and make a sexual harassment lawsuit. In the first incident it would have been metaethics that would teach Christina that voicing her political position on air can cause serious consequences. Does the End Justify the Means? “A man who wishes to act entirely up to his professions of virtue soon meets with what destroys him . . . hence it is necessary for a prince wishing to hold his own to know how to do wrong, and to make use of it or not according to necessity” (Machiavelli, 1505, p.71). What political necessities justify wrong doing, lies, deceit, war, and the like? Most people highly regard the commandment “thou shalt not kill” found in translations of the Bible; yet, these same people find it acceptable to kill for the purpose of self preservation. Discerning when the self is at risk, enough to justify killing, can be disputable.…
