Lying is justified when it can be used to protect and care for others. For example, Anne Frank survived longer because the people who gave her and her family shelter lied to the Nazis. Lying is sometimes needed to help save someone’s life. White lies lies are acceptable and sometimes even necessary. In addition, if your wife asks you if she looks fat with that shirt, you say she looks fabulous because anything else would be cruel. Lying can help to not hurt someone’s feelings.
