When most people think of hunting they think of animals being killed in a cruel and inhumane way. Most people who see hunting this way would say that hunting is unethical. Even though many people would disagree, there is nothing unethical with hunting and harvesting animals if one is following the rules and regulations that have been set by the United States Fish and Wildlife Services; therefore. There is nothing unethical about hunting because it has Biblical justification, it is part of history, tradition, it preserves wildlife, and is used as a source of food. There are many examples of hunting in the Bible. There isn’t a place where it says you should not hunt. Even though every word of the Bible is true, does not mean that everyone who believes in it thinks that hunting is ethical. Three clear examples are Noah, Nimrod, and Esau. Nimrod and Esau were both great and successful hunters, and God told Noah that he could kill animals for food. (source 1)

In 2010, there were eleven million meals given to the less fortunate by donations from hunters (source 20). There are some advantages to harvesting an animal. It is not often dangerous to eat deer, it is healthier, it can be more humane, and it can be cheaper (source 21).
It is not often that someone gets sick from eating meat they harvested. Unlike the animals that are raised to be eaten, like ones in slaughterhouses, deer have a less likely chance of getting diseases. In slaughter houses the animals are crowded together. If one of the animals is infected with a disease or virus then it is likely that others will get it, contaminating more of the meat that people eat. Deer have been known to have a disease called Chronic Wasting Disease, but in experiments there is no evidence that it has been transmitted to people (source
