Definition of Ethics The terms ethics define the primary models and fundamental guidelines that effectively define the human conduct in relation to other individuals, or in the manner in which people do things. In the business world, the word ethics have been defined as the moral code or a philosophy that is adopted and practiced by the professionals to help streamline their daily conducts while at their stations of work, thus enabling them to conduct their daily businesses in a more responsible manner, with more integrity and honesty. In summary, ethics denotes the field of knowledge that is specifically set to outline the recommended moral principles with the society (Norden)

e) Ethics and Research In research work, one is expected to provide factual and reliable research outcomes that can be of benefits to others. This means that the research must do the actual data finding, analyze the obtained data effectively, and provided the result and recommendations as per the investigations without incorporating any false information to the general findings. In this sense, ethics directs on what is expected of a researcher. Other factors that should be observed in any research work include the right to privacy, accuracy, no biasness, and timeliness (Ellis)

For instance, medical ethics require that only the doctor and his/her should know medical information patient, and the information should only be disclosed to a third party in case the patient accepts. Therefore, it is ethically expected that both personal and social statistics must be handled with much care and objectivity. Statistical tools and methods, as with many other technologies, can be employed for either social good or evil. Morally responsible societies, governments, and employers predicate the professionalism encouraged by these guidelines on their use in socially responsible pursuits. Where the end purpose of a statistical application is itself morally reprehensible, statistical professionalism ceases to have ethical worth. (Ethics) Generally, ethics is founded on the aspect of ensuring a peaceful coexistence among people leaving within an environment, which include the home environments, work places, schools, worship places, and other social grounds. Accepting and behaving in ways that demonstrate the appreciation and value of other people is in itself being moral and ethical. In summary, ethics means doing things right and working with other people without being selfish.
