To begin, these are the questions of ethics that I think are strictly yes. I think that human beings do have a natural tendency to do well in life. I think that almost everyone is raised to be a good person overall. There …show more content…
To begin, I do not think that there is a single moral code that binds all people at all times and all places. I think in today’s day and age the different generations are more likely to agree on the same things, but the older generations are not so open minded. Therefore, I do not think that there is a single moral code that binds all people. Next, I do not think that feelings, desires, and preferences are reliable ethical guides. I feel strongly about this because people should not act on their feelings all the time. People sometimes only think about themselves when making decisions, and then they might make bad decisions. People cannot make decisions based solely on themselves. People have to consider things other than just feelings, desires and preferences when considering things. For example, parents cannot make responsible decisions thinking only about themselves, they need to consider all of the people who will be affected by their decision. Finally, I do not think that most are responsible for their actions. The majority of people are quick to make an excuse for the things they do wrong, instead of owning up to what they have done. There is always going to be the people who are the exception, who will take responsibility for what they have done. I do not know why people do not take responsibility for their actions, but that is what society has become used to. For example, when someone …show more content…
These, to me, are hard to say that I either agree or disagree and stand my reasoning on the question or topic. First, in my opinion the majority view does and does not determine what is ethical and what is not. I think that the majority view does determine what is ethical in the way that our society. today is very influential and sometimes can be very opinionated if as a society we think someone is doing something wrong. An example would be, celebrities, if the majority of people think that someone who is in the public eye is doing something very right or wrong, everyone is going to hear about it. Also, there are some people who are not going to let the majority view influence what they may think is ethical and what is not. For example, older people may never change their mind even though the majority says something is ethical. Next, we need ethics, even though we have laws to govern our behavior. I think that ethics and law can go hand in hand, but are also very different. For example, we need laws so people do not harm others and to keep ourselves safe. We need for people to have ethics because without ethics the world would be a wreck. For example, if people did not have ethics and morals, people would lie and cheat all the time, and there are no laws to stop people from doing that. Finally, I think that there is a relationship between ethics and happiness. If someone has good ethics
