My Family Ethic Analysis

As seen from the perspective of non-members, my family has always had a rather peculiar, often politically incorrect, debatably cold hearted, and, at times, downright questionable code of ethics. That aside, it is certainly true that we hold strictly to it, allowing only the slightest deviance under the most stressful circumstances, and it is greatly appreciated when this understanding is appreciated and reciprocated. The primary pillars upon which our moral system is constructed are, first, that if one member of the family is in a fight, we all are; and the second is that the vast majority, if not all laws, rules, and regulations are made for those operating on the lowest common denominator of intelligence and aptitude. As an individual operates on increasingly higher levels of intelligence, an increasingly high number of laws, rules, and regulations become guidelines and suggestions. Lastly, we are all taught that the population (but not the unique individuals within them) is a renewable resource that, like any other tool or resource, should be used for the benefit of the family when possible. All communication with the offending parties ceased, potential diplomatic ties, avenues, and relationships through social media were severed, and any and all plans for the upcoming holiday season, traditionally hosted by our family, were abruptly dissolved. Unfortunately, this relationship embargo had a multitude of unintended consequences, as epitomized by the moment when my youngest brother became curious as to why this holiday season would be spent without our relatives, as all others had
