Explains that character is essential in everything. An individual decides for his own personality that will define his actions. To follow ethical life one should be empowered with qualities such as compassion, patience, self-control and rightful intelligence and should also refrain from any immoralities and selfishness. To be able to make proper moral actions, we have to recognize what our moral duties are and the correct guidelines that exist to follow our duties. This is simply defined that when we do our duty, we are behaving morally. And when we fail to do our duty, we are behaving immorally. Typically in deontological ethics, duties, rules, and obligations are determined by a supreme God. In our education, it is essential that we have fundamental rules to set up to be able to make learning process be effective. In classroom situations, respect for one another should prevail at all time so that in any cases insolence and rudeness will be avoided. Through that kind of environment, knowledge absorption will be at its peak. Example of this is the eradication of being subjective or being biased. If the teacher has taught the respect for fellows to his students, their differences in terms of opinions and culture will be understood better and will not bring out conflicts. What is the importance of having a working knowledge on ethics and ethical theories/framework as a pre-service teacher? Explain and cite examples.
We know that making our world a paradise could not be happen in an instant. There are so many strong forces that we must battle. But as it is said, being prepared is half the victory. It is important that we should have knowledge on ethics so we can outnumbered the opposite force and serve as a catalyst to hasten the spread of morality. For example, if we have appropriate awareness on ethics, we can educate members of our family about decorum and right judging in the decisions we make. And these people will work with us to radiate the knowledge into a bigger group until we all reach the same
