1. What is your story and how it led you to create your own business?
Being the Founder and CEO of River Cohen Giving, I have found a vehicle to promote and support various critical causes targeted at benefitting the masses. My passion for business and philanthropy is informed by need to establish lifelong partnership with leaders in the community and non-profit organization that are committed to improve the lives of people at the grass root. I make this possible by donating my time and money along with other resources. Some of the organizations I support through River Cohen Giving include Feeding American St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, Make-A-Wish of America among others.

What is your business all about and how it helps the community?
The River Cohen Giving non-profit group is at the forefront of supporting and promoting endeavors that promise to address the most pressing communal issues. Some of the causes that are close to my heart include arts and culture, environment, health, civil rights, animal welfare and arts and culture.

4. What is your favorite book and author? Write a few lines in the book that you like most. I like the book “The Essential Drucker” authored by Peter Drucker. I also read a lot of books on personal development and leadership and business acumen.

5. Who is your inspiration?
Besides the inspiration I got from reading The Essential Drucker and seeing my philanthropic efforts impact the community positively, I am also greatly inspired by the words of encouragement and appreciation notes I get from clients because each note represents a point of success in my professional career.

Have you learned any leadership lessons along the way?
My background as an entrepreneur and philanthropist has placed me in a better position to advice individuals that aspire to attain similar goals as mine. My number one advice to them is to adhere to socially conscious principals and stay on the path of pursuing goals that benefit large part of the society. I also believe prudent leadership is striking a balance by distributing time among all the worthy causes.

10. How do create teamwork?
I believe with good teamwork you can achieve anything you set out to achieve. I always get may team members to get my perspective of things by sharing inspiring article and concepts I read from books with them. I have talked to various publishing companies to provide a series of inspiring articles on a wide range of topics including philanthropy, personal development, leadership and business development to aid me in the process.

11. What is your vision?
The foundations of my entrepreneurial career and innovator began immediately after I secured my degree from Arizona State University, which is at the forefront of research. I am most proud of what River Cohen Giving in impacting the society positively and I hope to continue pursuing these goals at greater
