The firm in which I purchase goods from would be Mylan, the company that produces the EpiPen auto-injector (EpiPen, 2016). The EpiPen is a medical device that is able to provide immediate medicine in the form of adrenaline to help individuals suffering from an allergic reaction in emergency situations (EpiPen, 2016). Ultimately, without the Epi Pen many individuals would be unable to recover from such severe allergic reactions (Newman, 2016). Within the last nine years, the EpiPen has gone from costing $100 to today costing as much as $600 (Newman, 2016). Due to Mylan having the rights to the auto-injector’s design, it is nearly impossible for potential competitors to make a comparable design, thus Mylan has been able to increase the price
