The Epic Hero Bo Jackson Bo Jackson holds a lot of traits of a hero, from being on of the best athletes to live to being one of the most humble athletes to live. Bo’s love for both baseball and football showed through his enthusiasm for both sports. What he did in sports forever changed the MLB and the NFL, he changed the perspective of what a player could be. There are three main traits that could be used to describe Bo Jackson those include his humility, national heroism, and he is capable of deeds of great strength and courage. One trait that could be used in his great professional years is his humility. Bo showed much appreciation for the game and coaches rather himself. In the video he talks about how all of his coaches have made an impact on who he is today. Not once in the video did Bo talk about how he was so much better than everyone else, he only said things like “I was faster than him” or “I was naturally gifted from God”. To be a hero that person needs to be nationally known for what he or she does on a daily basis. Bo played two sports in college and professionally, that means he must of been pretty well known throughout the country. It is pretty common to be a star in two sports in high school but being that same star in college? Now that is really hard to do. In the video he refers being a poor shy kid in Bessemer Alabama that does not have anything but his brothers and sisters. To then be one of the greatest athletes to ever live is quite something.
