The Environment In Eliezer Wiesel's Night

People are significantly affected by the environments in which they live; it has more power over one's nature than one's willpower. Therefore, difficult circumstances can change polite men into animals who will fight over a few bread crumbs. Do people change of their own will, or is it their environment that changes them? This problem is addressed in Eliezer Wiesel's memoir, "Night." Wiesel discusses his experience during the Holocaust, where he was a neutral witness. In the story "Of Mice and Men," George and Lennie are friends. However, George kills Lennie when the circumstances of their lives change. It shows that the environment can change us into different people. Geroge is, of course, the person who has been forced to change. The situation will always force people to change, and that is irreversible. The special environment can change people's behavior, reactions, and even thoughts. Humans live in the communication age, which is why people are usually influenced by their surroundings. In "The Wave," the teacher Ron Jones' wife said,0 "The teachers are complaining because of his experience... you have to be into the experience" (Jones 1). This quote had supported my argument; even the teacher was affected by his experience. Moreover, the students were affected by their master's experience because students' actions changed. The students were murmuring things, such as "strength throw work, power trowels displaces." The condition that Ron Jones facilitated had caused the students to have an enormous change. At that time, the students were worshipping Ron Jones as their leader of them. This particular condition made students, and even teachers, change. They supported my statement that the environment changed people's reactions.
