Obesity has been recognized as one of the serious health issues in recent decades. It was identified as the main risk factor for certain chronic diseases including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancers (1). Some previous studies indicated more than 5% of weight loss is able to bring down the incidence and the risk of developing chronic diseases, therefore, establishing a effective treatment that aims to control the body weight of obese individuals and healthy adults is required (2). Based on the report of the American Diabetes Association, it suggested changing the dietary pattern that can be effective in prevention and control of chronic diseases (3).

To date, the energy intake management is the major strategy for weight control. The satiety, which means the feeling of fullness after food intake and contributes to appetite control that regulates the energy intake, is the vital factor of the energy intake management (4). Thus, consuming high satiating foods might help to control the energy intake and weight management. Indeed, there are some evidences show changing the

In addition, some long-term investigations indicated that high protein diet could increase the satiety by prolonging the level of glucose during the postprandial and produced a lower insulin response (13). Two previous systematic review and meta analyses of randomized trials also showed that high protein diet could reduce the postprandial glucose to decrease the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease (14). However, there are still limited evidences exist associated with postprandial glucose and the relationship to the satiety following the breakfasts with different amount of protein.
