A majority of people would not like this idea at all and wish nothing like this to happen to them. I would love for zombies to overrun the school. I’ve related this to the book series called The Enemy written by Charlie Higson.
I would have a plan similar to his. I would first run around with a group of students getting rid of all the zombies inside the building first to secure the inside of the school. I would then grab a group of students, and head down to the shop in the school to grab wood, nails, and hammers. Then go around and board all the doors to make sure that any outside threats won’t be able to get in easily. Once the doors

In order to better prepare myself if there is an active shooter on campus is to start scanning the room or buildings I go to on a daily basis to get an idea of the best escape routes and hiding places in that building. In order to communicate safety to residents to prepare them if an active shooter is on campus or in the building is to have an informational event that goes over the Run Hide Fight method and other ways they can prepare. Also, having posters with reminders around the hall on how to prepare inside and outside the building would be helpful. To remain safe during an active shooter incident, I would have to stay calm and collective in order to find the nearest exit or hiding spot. If it is absolutely impossible for me to get out…

Zombie apocolypse or not my mom would still make me go to school. I’ve never played on a team but I crave the thrill of swinging a baseball bat, launching heads out of the park would make it a whole new ball game. If I’m going to hide anywhere it would have to be the P.E. building, considering that’s where everyone else hides when school gets too “classy” for them. The bleachers are setup in the gym for when we have pep ralley’s, with enough spit and grease they can be pushed back to block the enterances. When I’m trapped in a school with locked doors all around me the keys to survival are actual keys, so in this situation a master key is a top priority item.…

Hatred is rampant today. It sometimes manifests itself physically in hate crimes or terrorism, but, more often, it’s only evident in the way that people communicate. Sometimes, it’s a barb thrown at someone else to insult them, sometimes it’s an argument in a conversation, and sometimes it’s an off-handed joke, but hate is all too prevalent in our world. So, how do we “oppose hate?” Michael Mascolo, argues that we shouldn’t ignore hateful comments, but we shouldn’t directly confront them either.…

Imagine a world where you would always have to check your back and believing that your close friends weren’t actually what you thought they were, imagine a time when America was once against America. This was an event that was actually happening after World War II and during the time of McCarthyism. An example of this comes from the article by Sam Robert, “A Decade of Fear,”and from the actions of Senator Joseph McCarthy, “ As his fame and power grew, so did his anti-Communist fervor. He accused government officials and politicians who opposed him of having Communist ties or at a minimum, being soft on Communism (Section 13).” This is an example of America being against America, by Joseph McCarthy accusing government officials and politicians…

If the zombie apocalypse were to occur and I am trapped at school, I’m using the knowledge gained from I Am Legend to survive. My survival plan is comprised of three parts. First and foremost, I would try my best to barricade any and all possible entrances to the school expect for two. These two entrances would be set in a place where only I could reach, somewhere high and lofty, requiring upper body strength and agility in order to get to them. Now these escape routes would also be look out points, they could be ways of escape if zombies were to ever break in and over throw my fort, or they could be used for me to locate the enemy at all time.…

School shootings are a trend that unfortunately has been getting popular for more than a decade. This is causing schools to increase security and prepare for a potential war against unknown individuals. This has shown a negative effect on a significant amount of students who now see school as unsafe. Metal detectors, security cameras, and many other security safeguards have been a regular necessity for schools. Instead of using these things as a last resort effort to prevent violence there needs to be a less invasive plan in place that limits the security presence on campuses without it being overwhelming.…

The Code of the Street by Elijah Anderson is a theory developed by Anderson himself that demonstrates the explanation of the high rates of violence and the life of inner-city people, mainly African-Americans, living in Philadelphia. In some of the most economically depressed and drug- and crime-ridden pockets of the city, the rules of the civil law have been severely weakened, and in their stead a “code of the street” often holds away (Anderson 9). The “code of the street” is known as a set of informal rules leading to the public behavior known as violence, deterrence, the possession of respect is at the heart of the code, and the belief that there are two different types of families known as “decent” families and “street” families. When it…

If zombies attacked the classroom, I would probably go to the door and try to block them out. If they get through the door before I can block them out of the room, I would probably start to stack desks across the back of the room so they can not get to me. If there were other people in the room with me, I would try to get them to help me. If the others do not help me, I would leave them to fend for themselves. If I get a successful wall of desks built, I would start to search for a weapon to use against them.…
