How Do Video Games Affect School Education

Video games have become a frequent routine in most kids lives these days. Whether it be waking up in the morning before going to school, or before special events like weddings which leads to parents yelling... you know what happens! Whether it’s immediately after school or even when you’re supposed to do your homework, video games have become such an addiction that kids can’t get rid of. With video games being such a massive distraction for kids and teenagers, the question is asked; will this affect their school education and will they become academically challenged in school because of it? I will be presenting a number of effects, both positive and negative, that video games can have on your school education.

I know what most of you are thinking, all effects on school education are negative, however, some tests claim that video games also have a very positive effect on gamers because it involves alot of actions that helps and could benefit your learning in the future. Actions like following the instructions in a video game could help you improve your listening skills and attention span, believe it or not. There are many positive effects that video games can have such as improving your problem-solving skills and also improve your hand-eye coordination, however, there are also many negative effects that video games can have such as becoming anti-social and being taught the wrong values and manners. Video games can have both positive and negative effects on school education, so it is hard to say whether or not you should be addicted to video games. Many believe that video games are the reason why some people are failing in school, but is it also the reason why some people are succeeding
