This paper will discuss the negative and positive effects that playing video games has on children. The general consensus among the American public on the issue of video games and children is that video games are necessarily bad for children because of various reasons some of which have been substantiated by relevant research and some which have no real basis. The most vocal point against the use of video games by children is attributed to the amount of violence they contain. According to a scholarly article written by Craig Anderson and published by the American Psychological association, video games content raw and bloody content that are linked to extreme aggression in children belonging to the age group of nine to fourteen …show more content…

e) As mentioned in the earlier point on language, the avoidance of many terms used in academic circles will ensure that the readership is high because the information is so simple and easy.

g) The relevance of the data to the intended audience had been gauged and a target group (i.e. parents of children playing video games in this case) has been properly identified before going ahead with the paper.
h) Everyday examples have been clearly mentioned in the paper so that the intended audience is able to relate more to the content of the paper. Making the paper relatable is very important because the audience should be kept engaged throughout; there should never ever be a dull moment or the entire idea of writing the paper to deliver facts falls
