Most people don’t realize it, but that stress can be surely caused by technology itself. The stress can be caused by a number of things such as the over usage of technology, or even the fact that people use them before they go to bed. Regular, late night computer use can be associated, and can cause depressive symptoms, sleep disorders, and even stress (Volpi par. 7). Mostly everyone has technology some way or another in their life and using it too much can be a bad thing. A common thing that is able to happen from the use of these devices is headaches and even a loss of sleep. Modern technology is affecting our sleep, the artificial light from our screens affects melatonin production which can change or throw off circadian rhythms, and this can prevent deep sleep (Volpi par. 1). Losing sleep will make any person stressful because it will affect work, school, and just socialization in general. Most people do not function as well when they are very tired and have a loss of sleep.
