If we are feeling all these emotions it may be difficult to overcome these negative emotions and especially by ourselves. Also studies have shown that having the support from peers or family members reduces stress. For example in a random selection of 120 students at the University of Malaysia were asked to answer questions about stress and students who reported having the most support from colleagues and their family were less stressed out than those who had less support ( Baqutayan, Shadiya ). It’s important that we have someone we can talk to and trust because this will make us feel more …show more content…

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America Research (ADAA) has shown that regular exercising among young adults are twenty- five percent less likely to develop depression and anxiety, which can be caused by stress. The ADAA also states that exercising helps fight diseases and improves alertness concentration and cognitive function. According to Harvard Health publications exercise reduces levels of the body’s stress hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. When we exercise we produce endorphins and they are natural painkillers. Endorphins are also responsible for us feeling relaxed and optimistic ("Exercising to Relax"). However some college students think they do not have time but they do not have to do a lot of exercise in order to reduce stress. In fact the ADAA states that even 5 minutes of aerobic exercise can stimulate the anti anxiety effects ("Physical Activity Reduces Stress."). I know some may say exercise is boring or they have no interest instead they should do sports or
