Teenagers in America are among the biggest group who are most active on social networking, whether it includes Facebook, Twitter, or gaming; social media has swarmed the globe and affected the way others act. For this reason, most teens will find themselves binging on social media; this can include updating their moods or constantly updating other accounts. Also, social networking undoubtedly plays a role in communication, but broadens the ability to learn practical skills. And to emphasize, risks of extensive social networking among youth has poor effects of losing a touch from reality. For example, with the fast change in technology over the years, it has become normal for any teen to own a smartphone. With easy access to social media pages, any adolescent has the opportunity to make their own. Drastic changes in society has also caused others to feel social media as a human desire. For instance, because other are on the latest social page, teens will conform in order to fit in. In addition, the way society communicates has changed drastically over the years. Moreover, any friends living overseas can now be texted to in a quick minute, rather than sending a letter and waiting weeks for a reply. The use of social media websites is one of the most common activities of teens and kids. Any site that allows social communication among others can be considered a social site, including Facebook or Twitter, gamings such as MineCraft, or even video sites such as YouTube. Websites offer today 's youth a portal for communication and entertainment; recent years have obviously shown a rapid growth. For this reason, it is important that one becomes aware of the nature of social media sites, given that not all of them are healthy environments for teens. For example, social media sites can be a perfect place for predators. With very little information on the world or who is out there, teenagers with huge vulnerability, will do anything to fit in. Exposing themselves or doing anything that doesn’t make them comfortable is something that some teens may find suitable so they can adjust in the crowd. Teens, of course, show a wide share of information about themselves on social media; indeed sites themselves encourage those to share their information to expand their networks. However, very few teens embrace a fully safe way to introduce themselves on the web. Putting certain information, or false information on the web can lure the wrong people into one’s life.
