Too Much Talk Not Enough Action: Article Analysis

Too Much Talk, Not Enough Action Recycling is a push all around the world, especially in schools where people learn the true effects of the damage garbage is doing to the environment. In the Muhlenberg County School District in particular, the schools push recycling constantly, a few classrooms even have recycling bins set up. Eventually, these bins get filled, then what happens to the trash inside the bins? In early 2015 and some previous years, the recyclable materials went to the local garbage dumps to be put into large recycling trailers, along with the community’s typical household garbage recyclables. From this point, the Muhlenberg County Opportunity Center would take care of getting the recycling trailers hauled away and recycled properly.
As of mid-2015, the Muhlenberg County Opportunity Center has stopped using these recycling trailers, so now what happens to the trash people recycle on a daily basis? Most people are stuck burning, or hauling away the trash that eventually will end up in landfills. This smog was harmful to people’s health due to inhalation of the amounts of smoke. Now, in 2015, people still burn some of their trash, because there is simply no other use for it, but if we continue to burn larger amounts of garbage, this horrible event can happen again. If recycling is made easier accessible to people, more people will recycle their items instead of burning them. Cutting down on the air pollution and cutting down on health issues caused by this high smoke inhalation. It may be said air pollution will happen either way, but due to less trash being burned, less smoke and pollutants are emitted and the less harmful it will be to human
