Have you ever heard of the idiom ‘it 's as easy as taking candy from a baby”? Well if you have than you’ll know the meaning of the saying relates to the idea of something being achieved without great effort or difficulty. This effortless action is then being compared to getting away with manhandling a baby for their candy. It’s sad to say that this is the idea that pertains to the fact that the menace effects of pornography uprising effortlessly in our young generation of primary and secondary students are because of the facile access to it. Internet Safety 101 reports that nearly 9 out of 10 (87 percent) young men and 1 out of 3 (31 percent) young women report using pornography. “The first sexual drawing was made by the caveman, and dates back almost a thousand years prior to the discovery of the first written document.” (R. Scott). Human sexuality has of course evolved since then with the use of technology and other factors. Pornography not only affects their emotional development but many other aspects of their lives. Pornography is a gateway to a numerous amount of problems that could’ve been avoided if the person did not lay their eyes on that type of graphic material. It is important for strong portrayals like porn to be regulated correctly and more cautiously. A child should not be able to get past security questions for an adult website just by checking a box that states they are old enough to watch the following. We should not allow the amount of power these explicit images and videos to grow a stronger hold on the coming generations of this world.
