Stress is a part of almost everybody 's life, whether due to work, relationships, or finances. Unfortunately some may have to endure more stress than others, causing negative effects on the individual. However, a large number of people fail to realize that, students, in general, experience an extensive amount of stress through their high school and college careers. The pressures that are placed on students to excel have increased throughout the years, creating an environment in which students are prone to unnecessary stress. Although stress inevitable, too much stress can lead to all sorts of problems. Worry is the cognitive concern about failure together with the consequences of failure. On the other hand, emotionality is the physiological symptomatology associated with anxiety. The research indicates that worry consistently shows a greater negative affect on testy performance. Through an analysis of the data, researchers have concluded that student with high worry and emotionality scores had a higher academic stress score. Some students find religious or social support. Others use fitness activities to relieve stress, in addition to giving them a sense of accomplishment. To help with academic stress, students use effective time management and studying styles. By learning how to mange time and not procrastinate, may students become less stressed. Students who perceive themselves as productive and in control of their time tend to succeed more in their work and have higher life satisfaction. In one study faulty members perceived students to have experienced higher levels of stress then they had self reported(Mirsa et al 1-2, 5). Being able to communicate with students about healthy habits and realistic expectations. Stress isn 't always bad, some stress can be motivational and beneficial. Without a little bit of stress nobody would do anything. Its when it gets out of hand that people ned to take a step back. Too much stress can lead to many disease and disorders. As human being we have to be aware and try not to get too caught up in certain situations. Stress is a constant that all human beings most endure. When some undergoes too much stress it leads to detrimental health risks, as well as an unsuccessful academic career. Students are just as affected by stress and all of the mental illness that it can bring as adults of any age. Some students learn to work with stress while others can’t control it. Stress
